Saving the Monarch Butterflies One Life at a Time
Mission overview at Inwood Butterfly Sanctuary
A community-driven initiative focused on monarch butterfly conservation addressing species decline through active conservation, education, and community engagement. "We bring together and support a local community to think globally as interconnected links along the migratory route of the monarch butterfly. Our commitment is to provide free milkweed seeds to anyone who requests!"
We have several projects in the NYC Participatory Budgeting Proposal phase:
Isham Park Revitalization: A Children's Pollinator Garden, Monarch Butterfly Waystation and Endangered Species Preservation
Create a World-Class Monarch Butterfly Conservation Facility Habitat Restoration Staging Area and Butterfly Vivarium at Inwood Hill Park Nature Center
We Grow Life: A city wide Holistic Response to Our Urgent Need for Urban Revitalization and Endangered Species Conservation in Environmental Justice Areas
Active Conservation Strategies

● Protecting and Conserving: Implementing best practices for monarch preservation.
● Migration Support: Sustaining migratory patterns across cultural and geographic borders.
